Common Home Watch Questions
What is home watch?
Home watch is having someone local look after your vacant or second home on a set schedule while you are away. On a typical visit we walk the house, run water, check that HVAC is holding temperature, confirm locks and alarms, and note anything that needs attention, such as a water stain under a sink, a broken patio door latch, or the fridge left running with the door ajar. You get a short report afterward so you know the property was checked without flying down.
Where does NeverAbsent provide home watch services?
We serve Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties in South Florida, including communities such as Miami, Coral Gables, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, and Palm Beach Gardens.
How often do you visit the property?
Visit frequency depends on your plan and property needs, commonly weekly or every other week for standard home watch, with additional visits for storms, mail runs, vendor meets, or pre-arrival and post-departure. We set how often we visit during onboarding.
Do you prepare homes for hurricanes?
Yes. We prepare the house before a storm if possible and check after, with photos.
How do I get updates after a visit?
After each visit you get a report in the NeverAbsent owner portal with photos, checklist notes, and anything that needs follow-up. We also email you when a visit is complete so you know a new report is ready.
